How Adanwoh Works — Post a Dare, Escrow Cash, Get Paid
Adanwoh is a real-money dare platform. Someone posts a cash challenge — "I dare you to run a 5K under 25 minutes" — locks up real money in escrow, and the first person to complete it and submit verified proof wins the cash. Here's exactly how it works.
Step 1 — Post a Dare
Anyone can post a dare. You write the challenge title, describe what counts as proof, choose an expiry date, and set the cash reward in CAD. That amount gets locked in Adanwoh's escrow immediately — it's not released until the dare is completed or expires.
Dare types include physical challenges (fitness, skill), creative tasks, trivia bets, and social dares. The poster sets the rules.
Step 2 — Escrow Protects the Money
When you post a dare, the reward amount is debited from your Adanwoh wallet and held in escrow via Stripe. The money is segregated — it can't be spent or withdrawn by the poster while the dare is active. This protects darers: you know the money is really there before you attempt anything.
If the dare expires with no valid completion, the funds are returned to the poster's wallet automatically.
Step 3 — Accept and Attempt
Darers browse the Explore feed and claim open dares. Once you claim a slot, you have a set window to complete the challenge and submit proof. You can only hold one active slot per dare at a time.
Step 4 — Submit Proof
After completing the challenge, you upload proof — a photo or video. Adanwoh's AI proof verifier reviews the submission against the dare description and decides: valid or invalid. The AI checks for editing artifacts, timestamp consistency, and match to the stated challenge.
If the AI is uncertain, a human moderation review is triggered before any payout is made.
Step 5 — Get Paid Instantly
Approved proof triggers an immediate payout to the darer's Adanwoh wallet. From there you can cash out to your bank account via Stripe Connect (available in supported countries) or use the balance to post your own dares.
Disputes
If the darer or poster disagrees with an AI decision, either party can raise a dispute within 24 hours. Disputes go to human review. Adanwoh's moderation team reviews the proof, the dare description, and both parties' submissions, then issues a binding ruling.
Fees
Adanwoh charges a small platform fee on successful payouts. Posting a dare is free. There are no fees for failed attempts or expired dares.
